INTRODUCTION

Yoga is a fundamental practice that, when taught well, impacts the body and soul of all who practice it. Those of us who have been fortunate to experience its depth, have the opportunity to enrich countless lives by sharing all its benefits. However, like yoga, learning to share the practice must be both a mental and physical experience: we must become immaculate communicators through multiple modalities.

DESCRIPTION

In this practice and training for 45-hour teachers in the classroom, we will not only learn cerebrally, but through our bodies. The majority of the course is devoted to ample practice time in which students will take turns teaching each other; You will have experienced teaching in a safe and constructive environment even before your professional journey begins. Yoga Alliance credits (45 hours of CEU) will be granted to all who complete this course.

The essential skills you will get from this combined and practical course include:

  • A deep understanding of the sequence. Each student will learn the "Fibonachi Sequence", a 75-minute vinyasa yoga practice. The preparation work includes learning the Sanskrit and English names of all asanas in the sequence before the beginning of the course.
  • Competition with "practical assistance". Students will practice assists among themselves in a laboratory setting, then learn to help each other in a fluid environment of an open-level yoga class.
  • Philosophy and history of yoga. Each student will present a philosophical teaching about the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Advaita Vedanta. These are the central philosophies of yoga and add depth to the teaching. We will also study the philosophy of yoga in lectures and traditional Sanskrit chants.
  • Vocal technique Some teaching situations require the projection of the voice, while others require the expression of the subtleties of the moment. The voice is our most powerful tool and must be trained to match specific aspects of communication.
  • Three forms of meditation: students will learn to teach Mindfulness, Mantra and Trataka (candle observation) meditations. By learning three ways, students can choose the one that best suits the individuality of their private clients.
  • Strength training in the form of calisthenics and central work. When we execute asanas, equal attention is paid to strength and flexibility. The force, in this way, becomes the container in which a stretch occurs. Strength training is also an effective way to maintain good bone health, lean muscle mass, mitochondrial density and a healthy posture as we age. Through strength training, students will cultivate mental strength and grace in the face of challenges.
  • Cultivating community Through debates and examples of practical implementation, students will learn how, at the local level, to encourage the spirit of cooperation to triumph over the strength of competition. As yogis, we need a tribe of healthy people around us who are passionate about living well and helping others. Creating a stable group of positive relationships requires a commitment to personal excellence, which will become second nature to all graduates of the course.
  • A personalized daily practice. Instructors should be more immersed in the practice of yoga than those they teach. As such, students will learn and commit to a daily practice appropriate to their current stage of life, age and individual constitution, all respecting any acute injury or limitation.
  • The history of shamanism and how to provide shamanic guidance in the context / setting of yoga nidra. "Applied shamanism" is a totally natural approach, without the use of plants, to access parts of the self that are normally hidden. These areas within us are loaded with useful information that can open us to new possibilities. With the use of sound (nothing yoga), voice and a powerful connection with intuition, students will help their students recover and consolidate the lost power within themselves, and achieve a sense of integration. Students must learn to "sanctify themselves" and move away from the ordinary world of role, duty and obligation, to lead this technique. This allows one to move towards the deep concentration that is required to guide others, as they connect with the highest within themselves.

Come with an open mind, be willing to work hard and have fun! We will practice and study in a stimulating environment!
